I briefly thought of August (us) when thinking about names for their baby before he was born. I preferred Alfred so I went with that. (Alfred was an English king way back when about 1,200 years ago- ruled Wessex I think).
I am glad Philip made it as it was a way to honour him as he celebrates his centenary birthday this year ( if all goes well- a bit worrying that Charles is visiting him when supposedly he would not have visitors unless there was a serious reason for it) and also connects to her dad who is named for Philip’s father.
And Hawke is another family name. I got the family name and the “H” correct. I actually got all three initials in a different order. He’s A P H Brooksbank while I had it as A H P Brooksbank. I will have to study the family tree more next time.
I am not surprised they went traditional or family or with three names.
They all look happy and well. August is adorable.
They also managed to honour her dad’s birthday, her grandfather and their families with the names and the release date.
And they thanked a bunch of workers and their midwife who they even had take the pictures, which was a nice idea.
And they were outside in the fresh air surrounded by nature.
I also love that shade of blue.
( I have a grandson who has Augustus as a middle name.)

August(us ) is a lovely name . I wonder if they’ll shorten it to Gus ? They did the right thing , no pretencious artsy black and white photos , we can see their babies face and they look overjoyed . Their message to the midwife and other hospital staff was very gracious . The tone was very aware of the current circumstances we all find ourselves in .
No matter whether you support the Royal Family all babies are a blessing .and he is quite adorable !

Chris Ship tweeted and then deleted a tweet about Charles not returning to Highgrove after visiting his father but instead is staying the night at Clarence House. I do hope that doesn’t mean we may have a Bridge event very soon.
I just enjoyed the baby pics of this family. Same for the Cambridge ones that Catherine took. Even harkening back to the the Diana and Sarah years, the baby pics were lovely. They are in stark contrast to the Pair currently residing in California.

The Sussexe’s have definitely devalued the “coinage ”
Everyone looks forward to baby photographs . Unfortunately because of their pretensions and a lack of duty towards the public who paid for them , they turned a simple pleasure into a major event for all the wrong reasons . They will not be missed at all , certainly not here in the UK . They’re all yours now America , good luck with that !

My response to the latest PR blitz courtesy of the California duo via Sunshine Sachs clients is to check out the Brooksbank family pics. I just did again and I just had to post that little August Philip Hawke Brooksbank is trending! according to my search engine.
(As for the CA pair, some interesting things re the shelter. Ss in the picture. They look different again. Is her dress extra large now so that there is no bump showing? At least this dress is a bit better than the bird one from the Oceania tour.)
Anyway, if you are sick of them or whatever, just view little August. So cute.
