Meghan Markle win court battle to protect friends – but judge casts shadow of doubt

Meghan has won the right to keep secret the identities of the five friends who anonymously spoke to People magazine to defend her from what she previously addressed as “bullying”. However, Mr Justice Warby warned, their names may need to be made public in the future. The identities of five friends, addressed in court as A, B, C, D and E, are known to the judge but are not to be stated “for the time being, at least” in the official reports of the ongoing legal case against Associated Newspapers, the Mr Justice Warby said.
